Knowing the Rules to Play Better in the Game

15 Jul

During a weekend away with friends, we had a young driver doing well with his Learners license. He drove 80km/hour down the highway, complaining about all cars over-taking him, wishing he could drive faster.

I asked if he knew that RTA has increased the speed limit to 90km/hour for Learners since 1st of July 2013?

He answered “How would I know that? If I knew, I would be comfortably driving at 90km/hour.”

“Oh well”, I answered “Next time you’ll need to know your rules so you can play better, fully utilize your potential and maximize the benefits.”

My friends in the car giggled at this, wondering if the teenager understood.

I am sure business owners understand this point. Every day you have to deal with compliances, rules, laws, to run your business well and within the boundaries.

The 1st of July, it’s a date that changes many of the rules announced by government organizations – especially from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).  This is something you don’t want to miss.

ATO doesn’t expect you answer as a teenager, “how do I know” where it’s published and communicated.  Well I am telling you here and now.

For example, did you know there is a simple change that could relate to yourself and your employees? Superannuation rate has been increased form 9% to 9.25% from 1st of July 2013.

If you want to find more details, you can come to our seminar on financial change and learning “the rules”.
